Outstanding Site!

My wife and I talked about this site all the way home. We’ve been camping for a long time and have never been to a place like this. First, let’s get the one negative out of the way. There is a lot of road noise. It does lessen at night and our camper’s fan was great white noise for sleeping. However, there are so many positives about this property that I don’t feel like it knocks any points off. The biggest positive for us was the fenced area. We have never camped where we were able to have our dogs off-leash around the campsite. This is huge! It’s so much more relaxing to camp and know that the dogs are safe around the entire site. They were able to run all weekend and both came home exhausted. The large, wide concrete parking pad was great. We weren’t tracking dirt in and out of the camper all weekend and the hookups were awesome! The pavilion is a great place to hang out and includes lights and fans. It also has an awesome charcoal grill right there. The rest of the property is great as well. The pond is only a short walk away and has a great covered dock that’s perfect for fishing. There are trails if you have an ATV, and also a really nice shooting range. The back of the property is very private. The communication from the host is outstanding and we will definitely camp here again.

Amazing Family Camp Trip

This is our second stay at Camp TravelHick and we picked it for our annual family camp trip. My Dad was very impressed with the amenities and loved exploring the back acreage. David (host) has put even more beautiful additions in since we were there last and has clear cut more trails to enjoy on his amazing property. The fish were biting and we caught and released two very large sunfish. It was so neat to see the fish feeder go off and all the fish jumping. Our dogs absolutely had a blast running up and down the trails. We all came home relaxed and happy! Thanks so much David for putting so much thought into Camp TravelHick. You made our family camp trip that much more special with memories made to last forever. This is by far our favorite spot. We will be back!

What a gem David’s place is! He put so much thought into creating great camping experience. My husband and I took our teens and grandbabies for the weekend. The area is really nice. I’ve never seen so many stars at night! The picnic area was very accommodating with fans, beautiful string lights, a bug zapper and Charcoal grill. Our dog loved being there off the leash to run and play. There is plenty of room to set up yard games. The pond is the highlight of the campsite. We all caught fish! David was even nice enough to leave 2 cane poles set up ready to fish. We spent a whole afternoon fishing off of the boat. We had such a wonderful time, the kids can’t wait to visit again! Thank you so much for an amazing camping weekend! You are truly an asset to hipcamp!

Our dog’s most favorite site.

Super neat site, fun hiking around the pond, great concrete slab for parking with convenient utility hookups. David is a great communicator.

Incredible stay at Camp Travelhick!
We absolutely loved camping on David’s land at Camp Travelhick. Everything was thoroughly thought out from the level RV slab to the motion light installed above the power pole. We enjoyed coffee on the covered pavilion and our three dogs were safely contained within the fully fenced in camping area. David really put a lot of work into the site and is planning even more improvements. The back acreage was absolutely gorgeous. The dock is perfect for a relaxing day of fishing and there is a rowboat for guest use. There are hiking and ATV trails which have been clear cut and our Doberman especially loved to run all over the back acreage. We got to meet David as he was up to do maintenance on Saturday and he is amazing! We chatted for hours and when he went into town he brought us back some brochures and a map of the area. He also gave us some shirts and a hat which will definitely be put to good use. His slogan is “A campground designed for campers by a camper” and it definitely is all that and more! From the 50/30amp service to the double faucets, the RV pad big enough for two rigs side by side and sewer hookups on either side plus Site #2 with power/water hookups and an extra dumpsite on the property this site is big enough and has enough power to host large gatherings. He loved on our three big fur kids and showed us around the property. Thanks so much David for your wonderful hospitality and we will definitely be back! It was so nice to meet you!
